Course Description

This course is designed to introduce new teachers in AP Calculus to as much content as possible in the four days.   There will be discussion of the AP Calculus Exam and how the tests are graded.  The participants will also be introduced to the new Curriculum Framework that will be the guide for the 2017-2018 AP Exam. Participants will be asked to actively participate.

Special Instructions

Participants should bring the graphing calculator that will be used in classroom. If your textbook has been selected, you might want to bring it so that you can make notes as you go through the course.  Bring a light jacket if you get chilled easily.

Instructor Bio

Taught AP AB and BC Calculus at Homewood High School from 1991-2011. AP Calculus Reader for 6 years, has presented at state, regional, and national conferences on math education and is an instructor for Laying the Foundation Training. Supporting AP Calculus Teachers in the state of Alabama through work as Math Content Director for A+ College Ready from 2011-current.
