Professional Approvals for the Alabama Autism Conference

Planned Professional Approvals

The Alabama Autism Conference is designed to meet the various qualifications for approval from the following organizations:

  • Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology- 3.75 Content Area I hours; 1.25 Content Area II hours
  • Alabama Board of Nursing- 7.5 contact hours
  • Alabama State Board of Occupational Therapy- 6.25 contact hours
  • Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners- 6.25 contact hours
  • American Psychological Association-  
  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association- 6 contact hours 
  • Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification-  
  • Continuing Medical Education- 6.25 contact hours
  • National Board of Certified Counselors- 6.25 contact hours
  • Alabama Education Professionals STI-PD Program- 6.25 contact hours


This program is sponsored by The University of Alabama and the Alabama Psychological Association (aPA). The Alabama Psychological Association is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. aPA maintains responsibility for this program and its contents. This program is approved for number (numeral) credit hours for psychologists by aPA. Partial attendance, late arrival, or early departure will preclude the issuance of CE credits.

The University of Alabama School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education to physicians.
The University of Alabama School of Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Register on the STI-PD Website. PD Title Number is UAT16AUTC. This STI-PD session will be closed 15 days after the final meeting date. If you do not register by that particular date, you will not be able to register and you will not receive credit for attendance
