General Information

The College of Continuing Studies offers professional training opportunities for Alabama Municipal Clerks to assist them in earning their Certified Municipal Clerk and Master Municipal Clerk professional designations.  The Certification Institute for Municipal Clerks (CMC) and Master Municipal Clerk Academy (MMC)  is held biannually in Tuscaloosa, AL at The University of Alabama main campus.

The Municipal Management Training Institute for Municipal Clerks and Administrators is a conference held annually, traditionally in the fall, in varying locations around the state of Alabama.  The annual conference provides city clerks and administrators with an overview of important issues and concerns facing them professionally. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations made within ten days of the event will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Refunds will not be given for cancellations received after that time, but a substitute participant may be designated at no additional cost. The University of Alabama reserves the right to cancel, post-pone or combine class sections; to limit registration; or to change instructors. Any money-back guarantee offered on specific programs does not necessarily apply to other programs of The University of Alabama College of Continuing Studies.
