OLLI at UA is a membership program that is member planned and member managed. Member participation and volunteerism are the fuels for the success of OLLI at UA. This academic cooperative provides mature adults with opportunities to learn new things, make friends, travel and embrace life. Courses are taught by volunteers who share their knowledge and passions. You’ll find no homework, no grades, no required college degree and no age threshold.
Besides broadening your knowledge, research has shown that adults who stay active intellectually are also healthier and more socially balanced. There are other studies that state that keeping your brain busy helps fight off effects of age on memory and perception and may possibly slow the development of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Fall Open House dates and times for all OLLI at UA chapters are now available under the News/Events tab.
The 2016 Fall Catalog is now available and will be mailed to members and distributed around Tuscaloosa in early August! Can't wait on your copy? View the catalog now by clicking on the photo below.
