General Information
Registration
The cost for attending each certification and management course varies and is specified on the Registration Form in this brochure. The fee covers the cost of the sessions, handout materials, refreshment breaks and luncheons.
Organizations registering 3 or more persons for the same course listed in this brochure will receive a 10% discount. Please specify attendance preferences on the Registration Form. Participants who register less than five working days prior to the session starting date should do so by phone to ensure confirmation of their registrations. Treasury regulations may permit an income tax deduction for educational expenses (registration fees, travel, meals and lodging) undertaken to maintain or improve professional skills.
Schedule Overview
Registration check-in process will be from 7:30 - 8 a.m. on the first day of each program, with instruction commencing thereafter and wrapping up at 5 p.m. On the following days, instruction lasts from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (class will end at 3 p.m. on the last day of the program). Lunch is from noon to 1 p.m.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you must cancel, a full refund may be granted up to 2 weeks prior to program date. After that date, an administrative fee equal to 25% of the registration fee (minimum $25) will be charged against your refund. Refunds cannot be made after the program has begun, but a substitute participant may be designated. The University of Alabama reserves the right to cancel, postpone or combine class sections; to limit registration; or to change instructors. Any money back guarantee offered on specific programs does not necessarily apply to other programs of The University of Alabama College of Continuing Studies.
Note: Course offerings in the Six Sigma Certification Programs require a high level of commitment to pass the certification examination. All course materials must be covered by participants. An absence from sessions for any period of time requires instructor approval.
Location and Lodging
ALL SIX SIGMA CERTIFICATION AND MANAGEMENT COURSE sessions will be held in the Bryant Conference Center, a premier learning facility located on The University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, at 240 Paul Bryant Drive.
Sports fans - make plans to visit the Paul W. Bryant Museum ($2/person) located between the Conference Center and the Hotel Capstone.
Rooms may be reserved at the Hotel Capstone (formerly the Sheraton Four Points Hotel) by calling 205-752-3200 or 800-477-2262 (toll free). Please identify yourself as a program participant when making reservations. After registering for the program, you will receive a map with the locations and phone numbers of other Tuscaloosa motels.
Parking
From I-20/59, take the McFarland Boulevard/US 82 exit and proceed north to the University Boulevard interchange. Exit and turn right. Stay on University Boulevard down the hill and turn left on Second Avenue. Open parking will be on your left, the Bryant Conference Center complex on your right.
In addition to the parking lot on Second Avenue, you may also park in the Coleman Coliseum Parking Lot and the Bryant Drive Parking Lot. You will be able to ride a Green Route bus from either of these lots to Second Avenue at the Bryant Conference Center.
Professional Development Hours (PDH) Credit
The SIX SIGMA CERTIFICATE AND MANAGEMENT COURSES may provide the Professional Development Hours (PDH) required by State regulations for maintaining Continuing Professional Competency. Please check with your appropriate state agency for this requirement.

This entire program or any of its components, as well as other Professional Development & Conference Services’ programs, can be custom designed for your firm or trade association by The University of Alabama and presented at a site of your choice.
