Maria Consuelo Diaz-Martin ( Chelo), she is from  Extremadura, Spain. She has been teaching Spanish all levels for over 20 years. She has taught in Kentucky Public Schools and the University of Northern Kentucky. She has over 15 years of experience teaching AP Spanish Language and Culture. She has been an AP Reader for the last 7 years and a Table Leader 4 years. Mrs. Martin has presented frequently at local, state and national language conferences. Board member of Kentucky World Language Association. President of  Kentucky  AATSP. Above all a passionate AP Teacher who loves to share her culture and language.


Course Description 

Participants will engage in a community of professionals with best practices in the teaching ofAP Spanish Language and Culture. They will learn methods  and implement strategies to prepare and promote students  for success for all parts of the AP exam.  Participants can also expect to examine the resources that  College Board Recently has published on AP Classroom. They  will leave the APSI with great  resources to use for their classes for each mode of communication to get their students to the highest level of AP.

What to Have

Participants will need to provide a laptop  to access the internet. It is recommended that  participants are enrolled as an Advance Placement Teacher by the AP coordinator at his or her school, that way, the materials on AP Classroom made available by the College Board will be accessible for use during the APSI.
