Instructor: Allison Herzig 

Allison Herzig is a high school AP Psychology instructor at a suburban Virginia public high school.  She has been teaching AP Psychology for over 20 years.  Allison has been a reader and Table Leader at the AP Reading since 2002 and has been a workshop consultant for the College Board for over fifteen years.  She runs week-long and one-day workshops across the country for beginning and experienced high school AP Psychology instructors.


Course Description

In this week-long Summer Institute, teachers will receive detailed content instruction and suggestions for accompanying materials, activities and assessments.  Developing a pacing calendar, writing and scoring the Free Response Questions and covering required content in the AP course will be a primary focus of the workshop.  Teachers attending the workshop can expect to leave with plans for the upcoming year, a timeline for implementation, textbook and resource recommendations and great ideas for engaging student interest.
