REACTS is an acronym: Recognizing the Effects of and Approaches to Childhood Trauma Summit. This conference seeks to involve community members, professionals, educators, policy makers, and other individuals in recognizing and responding to the needs of children and adolescents affected by traumatic events like natural disasters, family troubles, community violence, and so on. This year we focus on resiliency in the children and teens we serve, as well as adults helping those children. You’ll find plenary and breakout sessions related to the latest research, evidence-supported interventions, self-care, and inspiration (plus door prizes!). The goal of this multidisciplinary conference is for attendees to leave with knowledge and skills enabling them to respond to and support trauma-affected children and adolescents in our state.
The Recognizing the Effects of and Approaches to Childhood Trauma Summit will be held March 29, 2019 at the Bryant Conference Center located on The University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa, AL.
