The College of Continuing Studies is adapting our business operations to continue to serve our customers amid the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic. Employees will work remotely to assist students, conference and training session attendees and organizers, OLLI members, clients of health, safety and environmental consultations, and others. General Information for Supervision and Ethics


The individual registration fee to attend the full-day training for both Supervision and Ethics is $129. The individual registration fee to attend either the Supervision or Ethics portion of the workshop is $79. The fees include all needed materials for the course.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations received after July 31, 2020 are subject to a 20% cancellation fee. Refunds will not be granted after the program has begun. A substitute participant may be designated in place of a registrant who cannot attend. The University of Alabama reserves the right to cancel, post-pone or combine class sections; to limit registration; or to change instructors. Any money-back guarantee offered on specific programs does not necessarily apply to other programs of The University of Alabama College of Continuing Studies.

Location and Lodging 

Supervision and Ethics Training will be held online or at the Bryant Conference Center, a premier learning facility located on The University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa. 


You will receive a parking permit via email from our Registration Services department. Instructions for displaying the permit will be printed on the permit. If you do not receive your parking permit, please call 205-348-3000.


  • From Birmingham

The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is Alabama's largest airport serving the Greater Birmingham area and surrounding Southeastern cities. Offering more than 120 daily flights to over 25 cities throughout the United States, Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) presently ranks in the country's top 75 airports in terms of passengers served annually. BHM served over 2.9 million passengers in 2009. All major airline carriers have connections to BHM airport. The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is located approximately 60 miles (100 kilometers) from Tuscaloosa. If conference participants choose to rent a car, the following companies offer rental cars at the Birmingham Airport: Alamo, AVIS, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, and National.

  • From Atlanta

The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (Georgia) International Airport is approximately 200 miles (320 kilometers) east of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. If conference participants choose to fly into the Atlanta Airport in Atlanta, Georgia, the driving time to Tuscaloosa is approximately three hours.

Continuing Education 

Certificates will be awarded at the end of the program based on your attendance. Partial credit will not be issued, and certificates will not be awarded early.

6.0 (including 3.0 ethics) contact hours will be awarded to Licensed Social Workers.
