Jennifer Hayes is the director of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning. A native of Tuscaloosa, Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Film and a master’s degree in Human Environmental Sciences, both from The University of Alabama. In her job, she provides guidance and leadership to the CELL team. Jennifer is proud of the variety of programming the team delivers and enjoys seeing learners expand their knowledge and skillset. She has two daughters who love to say “Roll Tide!”

Amanda Bergeron is a program manager for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning. A native of Tuscaloosa, Amanda earned a bachelor’s degree in Management and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, both from The University of Alabama. She is also a certified program planner and certified virtual meeting planner through the Learning Resources Network. In her role, she assists in planning and executing continuing education programs. Amanda’s favorite aspect of her job is meeting the program attendees. Outside of work, she watches cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies year-round.

Mary Patterson is a program manager for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning. A native of Birmingham, Mary earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from The University of Alabama. She is also a certified public accountant and a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional. In her role, she works with the CELL team to design and implement professional development and industrial training programs, executive education programs and continuing education conferences that are offered on campus, online or on-site at workplaces. Mary enjoys building relationships with people and helping them achieve excellence in their careers. She loves listening to music, cheering for the Crimson Tide, spending time with her husband and daughters and making magical moments with her granddaughter at Disney.

In her job, she coordinates programs for the Alabama Association of School Business Officials. Anna Clay enjoys interacting with people and learning about them. She also likes to sing karaoke in her car.

In her job, she delivers continuing education programs with area experts, ensures an engaging learning experience and facilitates program and curriculum development. Jamie enjoys meeting new people and working with a great team to deliver quality service. She serves on the Northport City Council and her daughter is a student at UA.

In her job, she coordinates continuing education events for the UA School of Social Work. Doreena enjoys traveling across the state of Alabama and meeting new people. She has worked at the University for more than 13 years.

Jennifer Barnhill is a program assistant for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning. A native of Northport, Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Religious Studies from The University of Alabama in 2012. In her job, she coordinates the registration and testing of insurance exams throughout Alabama, oversees the administrative aspect of pre-licensing classes, creates the proctor files used throughout the state and more. Jennifer appreciates that she can do her job from anywhere with internet access. She is married, has twin girls and enjoys music, reading and video games.
