DNP Intensive Conference Travel and Lodging

The following is an example of the lodging and travel information used for the 2020 conference.

Lodging

A special group rate was arranged with Hotel Capstone, Embassy Suites by Hilton, and Hampton Inn Tuscaloosa-University for the 2020 conference. You may make a reservation online or by calling the front desk, see individual hotel information below. Be sure to mention the “DNP Intensive Conference” when making your reservation.

  • Hotel Capstone – 320 Paul Bryant Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.  Adjacent to the Bryant Conference Center on The University of Alabama Campus. Make your reservation online or by calling the front desk at 205-752-3200.  The cut-off date for booking is March 6, 2020.
  • Embassy Suites by Hilton-2410 University Blvd Tuscaloosa AL 35401. Just under two miles from Bryant Conference Center. Located in downtown Tuscaloosa within walking distance to an abundance of restaurants and activities. The cut-off date for booking is February 29, 2020.
  • Hampton Inn Tuscaloosa-University- 600 Harper Lee Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404. One mile from the Bryant Conference Center and next door to Baumhower’s Victory Grille.  Make your reservation online or by calling the front desk at 205-553-9800. The cut-off date for booking is March 15, 2020.

Travel

Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is Alabama’s largest airport serving the Greater Birmingham area, including Tuscaloosa. It is home to four major airlines, servicing over 100 daily flights to 25 cities for more than 2.6 million passengers each year: American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. The airport is a 60 minute drive from The University of Alabama.

Birmingham Door to Door and Scuttle Shuttle, LLC are companies that transport individuals from the airport to their destination and back. Call to schedule a pick-up time/place and drop-off time/place. They will ask if this is a one-way trip or a round trip. Have credit card information ready to pay over the phone, payment will be scheduled a few days before the pick-up date. Prices may vary.
