Alabama Mineral Institute Program Information

Anyone interested in mining, geology, water policy, mine construction and regulation, health and environmental issues, coal bed methane and related subjects should participate.

Professional Development Hours

Professional engineers and geologists will be able to use the Institute for their Professional Development Hours (PDH) requirement. Full participation in the 2-day meeting will constitute PDH credits. Approval for a specific number of PDH credit are currently in process and will be posted here once approved.

Registration Fees and Deadlines

Early Bird Rates (Until October 3rd) – SME Member: $205; Non-Member: $210

Standard Rates (After October 3rd) – SME Member: $205; Non-Member: $230

Student Rate: $150. If you are a student, please call Jennifer Hayes at 205-348-6605 to receive your fee code.

Refunds and Cancellations

A cancellation charge of $57.50 will be assessed on cancellations occurring within 14 days of the start of this session.
